Elixir

This prototype demonstrates the power of one-step membrane distillation. And it does it as a stand-alone solution. We wanted to prove that compact control technology for membrane distillation was possible. We envisage this technology being incorporated in smaller, integrated on the counter solutions, or adapted to work on existing hot water systems. See the demonstration video.

Elixir variants The air-cooled prototype We have produced several prototypes demonstrating how air-cooling can be used to drive membrane distillation. Air cooling uses less counter space and can be suitable for smaller kitchens.

Third-line solutions In hot countries, hot water produced from solar heaters and stored in an accumulator tank can be used to drive a water purifier with an HVR purification engine.
