Newsletter from HVR Water Purification AB

Welcome to the Spring 2011 edition of the HVR Newsletter

Times are changing fast, people are moving to cities like never before, a new middle class is growing and providing clean drinking water is becoming more of a challenge. We intend to do what we can to see to it that people have clean drinking water.

HVR is happy to report that we have completed the first steps on our way to realising our new strategy and we are raising capital through a share offering to the public from 2-16 May.

In this edition:

New strategy
During 2010 a new strategy for HVR was crafted. Nowadays, getting products to consumers is a complicated and costly process, where manufacturers have to compete with all kinds of products for attention and even buy shelf space. HVR realised that in getting its products to market it needed to partner with established actors who already had marketing, retail sales and distribution and even manufacturing.
See our How we work page.

We have established already some good relations with the Hong-Kong based United Products and the Indian retail distributor, Sujana. Our next step is to take our Elixir prototype and finalise it for our target markets together with these partners.
See the Elixir product page.

Shareholders show renewed confidence
HVR recently offered shares to existing shareholders to raise capital to be able to prepare for the new strategy. The subscription was fulfilled to over 90%, showing confidence in our new strategy.

HVR appoints a new Managing Director
During February Stephen Hinton started work at HVR and was promoted to Managing Director in April. Stephen, born 1952, worked at Ericsson for eight years, among other things with product support and program management. Stephen is the author of the book “Inventing for the Sustainable Planet” and one of the founders of the Swedish eco-village Änggärdet.

Stephen brings a solid understanding of sustainable development as well as international experience in product marketing to HVR.

HVR is offering shares to the public to raise more capital
More capital is needed for HVR to realise its objectives of developing and distributing products adapted to markets with poor drinking water quality. The subscription starts on May 2nd and is open for two weeks.

New website released
The new website was designed to reflect the new strategy and help potential partners in understanding the opportunities of cooperation. The site offers, among other things, our vision of the clean-tech home of the future (link), and a demonstration of the Elixir product (link).

New blog starts
We at HVR care about water, and are genuinely concerned about the water situation and how the water business can be responding to the challenges. We have therefore launched a Water Business blog to keep our stakeholders up to date on latest developments in factors affecting drinking water provision.
